The modern and youthful vertically emphasised design of the 28 apartments at Ocean 272 is inspired by the coastal surroundings viewed by the project. The project’s non-corrosive material palette accentuates the marine coastal influence, loosely based on the classic “beach shack” aesthetic and coastal feeling, eg. Limestone, cedar timber, bright beachside colours, expressed off form white concrete and white powder coated aluminium.
The overall design of the plan resembles a series of waves which in turn provides each apartment with the enjoyment of north orientation, cross ventilation throughout the apartments, shared aspect of the beach, its sea breezes and an appreciation of the breaking waves from the ocean.
